Yasmina Lokmanoglu
International Council member & coordinator of the Turkish network, Tarsus Slow Food, Turkey
Yasmina is currently a Slow Food International Council member and coordinates the Turkish network. Yasmina, raised in Mersin on Turkey’s Mediterranean coast, has studied English, interior design and culinary arts. She served as a city councilor and led Ajanda 21, a UN sustainability project. She is passionate about local cuisine and wrote a cookbook on Mersin’s food cultures. She also founded Slow Food Tarsus and Earth Market Tarsus. Yasmina also coordinates SF Cooks Alliance and Ark of Taste in Turkey.
