Dr. Federica Galli

R&D Manager Health & Well-Being Chocolate, Puratos, Belgium

After several years in the Puratos Group Health & Well-Being team, Federica moved to the role of R&D Manager Health & Well-Being Chocolate, where she works on innovative projects that aims to develop chocolate products that balance nutrition and indulgence. She combines a strong scientific foundation with industry expertise to create healthier, consumer-focused solutions. Federica holds a University Degree in Agricultural Science from the University of Bologna (Italy), a master’s in nutrition from the University of Kentucky (USA), and a Ph.D. in Fruit Postharvest from the University of Kentucky.

Her career spans both academia and industry: she began as a University Researcher in Food Science and Fruit Postharvest, then moved into product development roles, including Orange Juice Product Designer at PepsiCo and R&D Research Scientist at Chiquita. Today, Federica leverages her multidisciplinary background to drive innovation in chocolate that supports health and well-being of everyone everywhere.
