
Objective
The workshop provides theoretical and practical knowledge on the various steps in cocoa and chocolate processing. Emphasis will also be laid on various possibilities for local processing in developing countries and on small scale processing with appropriate technologies. Based on a scientific approach, the whole chain will be covered starting from cocoa pods over the production of couverture chocolate and finally the creation of high-quality composed chocolate products.

Practical Information
Admission Requirements
- BSc Food (Science and) Technology, Agriculture or relevant through experience in cocoa processing or chocolate production
- English proficiency minimum TOEFL 550 paper based test, 79 TOEFL internet based, IELTS 6 or proof of education in English
- Age limit: 45 years for scholarship applicants
Funding - Application
Applicants from listed developing countries (application form)
- Scholarships are available (including transport, registration and daily allowance)
- Selection by organizing committeeh

All other applicants
- Registration fee 2500 euro (not including transport and housing)
- Assistance is provided in obtaining visa, housing and administration
